Re: Ryan Braun
Ryan Braun didn’t use PEDs the same way that O.J. Simpson didn’t kill Nicole Brown Simpson and Ronald Goldman. All of the evidence points to him being guilty, sure, but the mishandling of some evidence created enough doubt for the arbitrator to decide in Braun’s favor. MLB bore the burden of proof, and they were not able to meet it, according to the arbitrator. It is important...

What if Ron Washington hadn't held up four...
What happens if the Texas Rangers pitch to Albert Pujols in the 10th inning of Game 6 instead of walking him to get to Lance Berkman? Pujols is Pujols, sure, but Berkman was the hottest hitter in the World Series. Walking Pujols meant putting the potential winning run on base. The FOX broadcast team supported the decision, but it came with the same qualifiers. If Ron Washington and the Texas...

Re: Pujols arriving at camp
ESPN.com and SI.com have stories about Albert Pujols arriving at Spring Training. I. COULD. NOT. CARE. LESS. I thought I might. I thought I would have some lingering feeling of affection, or I would miss him, or I would, I don’t know, feel … something. I just don’t. I don’t care at all. He is just another player who doesn’t wear the birds on the bat.

ESPN's Power Rankings from the final week of the... →
The Cardinals were ranked 10th. The teams that the Cardinals beat on their way to becoming World Series Champions were ranked 1st (Philadelphia Phillies), 3rd (Milwaukee Brewers), and 4th (Texas Rangers). The Atlanta Braves were ranked 9th. I love baseball and I love that the Cardinals came from nowhere to win their last two championships.

jheath asked: 1) Is Roy Oswalt on the opening day roster? 2) If so, does he make an impact or is he kind of a Westbrook-esque #5; not terrible but not great. 3) The Cardinals will win ___ games this year. 4) The _____________ will win the NL Central.

kileyrae: Civil rights make Bill O’Reilly angry. I don’t mean to be a dick, but, as an attorney, watching non-attorneys discuss court opinions is a bit like watching dogs play poker.

Why Obama Mentioned His Beaten Foe Hillary Clinton... →
And finally, and perhaps I’m reaching here, the President has an eye toward the future… 2016. We know that he is a forward thinking and strategic guy. Let’s assume he wins re-election. I don’t think anybody sees Joe Biden, who will by then be 74 as a future President. The Democrats have four years to find and develop a rising star. Who is on the horizon now? I would...
